The Vu-Nguyen Pi Alpha Phi Exemplary Brother Award


Established by Danny Nguyen to honor his late grandparents’ memory.

The Vu-Nguyen Pi Alpha Phi Exemplary Brother Award will provide one award each semester to a student member of the Nu Chapter of Pi Alpha Phi who demonstrates exemplary leadership capabilities as well as academic achievement.

Applicant requirements:

·        Must be an active, good-standing member of the Nu Chapter of Pi Alpha Phi

·        Must be a full-time UNC undergraduate student at the time of application

·        Must exemplify at least 4 of the 5 main pillars for Pi Alpha Phi

·        Preference will be given to full-time students with a semester GPA over 3.0

·        Offered to one student each semester

·        Past recipients of the award are not eligible to apply

·        Applicants must submit an electronic essay (up to 500 words) focusing on how they have exemplified the 5 main pillars for Pi Alpha Phi and how they have positively                       represented Pi Alpha Phi over the past semester.

The deadline for the Vu-Nguyen Pi Alpha Phi Exemplary Brother Award will be at 5pm on the first Friday of the last month of each semester.  Applications should be given to the chapter president for review by the selection committee (chapter advisor and alumni).
